The Model encourages children, young people, families and people of all ages to engage with contemporary art through its wide range of programmes and projects. In addition to working with schools and communities, The Model offers artist talks, seminars, film screenings and gallery tours all year round. The Model is also home to the Niland Collection, with up to 300 works of Art, and is currently building an on-line education resource in response to the collection.
The Model education works closely with practicing artists, teachers, curators and communities to broaden an understanding and enjoyment of visual and contemporary art culture.
The Model responds to cultural changes in contemporary art practice, inviting participation and exploration in a fun and creative environment.
