Films for Schools
We are delighted to announce our new Films for Schools programme, commencing this November in our new digital cinema.
This season’s programme includes:
Persepolis, Wed. 24 Nov., 11am.
Persepolis is a 2007 animated film based on the graphic novel of the same name. This film is recommended for French Senior Cycle.
32A, Thurs. 02 Dec, 11am. (English Senior Cycle & Transition Year)
This story is set in the “in-between” time of a girl’s life, when she is no longer a child and not yet a woman, suitable for English Senior Cycle and Transition Year. One of the filmmakers Tommy Weir will introduce 32A before it is screened and present a Q&A session at the end.
City of War: The Story of John Rabe
Thurs. 09 Dec, 11am. (German Senior Cycle)
This is a true-story account of a German businessman John Rabe (Ulrich Tukur) German businessman and member of the Nazi party who saved more than 200,000 Chinese during the Nanjing massacre in 1937-38. This film is recommended for German Senior Cycle.
