The Big Draw

A treasure hunt for downy feathers; a crawl through a range of different spaces, and a sponge painting exercise – these are just some of the activities on offer for parents and toddlers taking part in The Model’s new art and play programme, The Big Draw.

Toddlers at the Model

The Big Draw involves art and play workshops for children between the ages of two and four. The workshops are specifically designed to forward toddler development, and include exercises and activities aimed at developing young children’s sense of texture, use of colour and physical skills.

Over the course of the autumn, we will encourage both parents and toddlers to have fun with crayons, paints, pastels and clays. The Big Draw is an imaginative workshop series and participating children will be invited to thoroughly explore the materials, so they shouldn’t be shy of getting messy.

The Big Draw runs on Thursdays, due to demand we now run two workshops 10.45am – 11.45am and also 12.30 – 1.30pm until Dec. These workshops are free, but registration is essential. Places are limited to 10. To reserve your place, email info@themodel.ie or call 071-914 1405.

Comments

Triona O'Dowd Hill: I would love to bring my nearly 2 1/2 year old to this, are there still places available? She has just got into ‘colouring’. I also have a just turned 1 year old, could only go if I could bring her too! Oct. 4, 2010
