Cranmore Youth City Zine & Print Project

This exhibition is a community collaboration between Cranmore Co-op Youth City and The Model. The work presented here is the result of a series of workshops, which took place at Youth City Cranmore Cooperative and The Model between December 2017 and February 2018. Members of Youth City engaged in experimentation with traditional print techniques and illustration over the course of the workshops, which culminated in the compiling of a Zine titled Unicorn Rainbow People. The theme of the work is Identity & Belonging and depicts the children’s areas of interest and the important things in their lives.

This project was led by Dany Guest, a print maker and artist (pulled Screen Print) and supported by Niall Breen an Illustrator and Comic artist both based in Sligo. We would like to thank all the Youth City volunteers; Maureen, Deidre, Niamh, Jennifer, Michelle, Ariana, Ann and Emer McFadden, Community Development Worker at Cranmore Cooperative for all their support and time. Youth City is a drop in youth club facilitated by the volunteers of Cranmore Co-op.

This project is part of The Inside & Out project and is generously funded by the International Fund for Ireland Peace Impact Programme.
