Dorm Symposia II: Collectives and Collectivity
Free / Dorm, an exhibition of 22 international artist collectives, opened at The Model on May Day. As part of the exhibition, two symposia have been organised to open up areas of discussion around collective practice today.
This second symposium brings together the Canadian pioneer of artist collectivism AA Bronson, an American artist and writer who has published extensively on artist collectives; Gregory Sholette, a Viennese art-technology-philosophy group that engages in social, artistic and online tactics, and Irish writer and artist Brian Hand who co-founded the collectives Blue Funk, 147, and The Fire Dept.
