May Day Celebrations: at The Model
Free / Last year, on 01 May, 2010, The Model re-opened to the public with the project Dorm which included 1500 attendees and a sleepover in the building.
This year on the same day, to celebrate our first birthday, The Model will have FREE, all-day events, concluding with concerts and a DJ in the night-time.
Everyone, as always, is welcome.
While all events are free, some events are ticketed, check individual event listings below to determine if you need to reserve tickets.

Noon: Art Trap Workshop (4-6 year olds)
1pm: The Outsider Exhibition Tour with curator Emer McGarry
2pm: Model Explorers Performance with Sligo Youth Theatre Group
3pm: ShortFilms@TheModel: The Chronoscope, The Crush, The Lost Thing.
5pm: The Ruby Blue Dance Class: Fox trot, cha cha cha & swing dance class
6.30pm: High Tea
7.30-10pm: The Ruby Blue Dance Class with The Jazz Ladds
11pm – 2am: Donal Dineen with Liam Ó Maonlaí and percussionist Peter Crann.
