Daft Antics Circus Workshops during the Mad Hatters Children's Festival
31 Oct. - 02 Nov. 2014 / Daft Antics is a company of circus performers, in Sligo since 1996. Over the years Daft Antics has developed into a well known circus performance group, providing jugglers, acrobats, stilt-walkers, walkabout characters and fire shows for festivals and private functions all over the country. In recent years Daft Antics have branched out into aerial acrobatics and providing circus skills workshops for various youth organisations, community centres and other groups. Daft Antics are running a series of circus skills and aerial skills workshops at The Model for the Mad Hatter’s Children’s Festival. See detailed schedule below:
Daft Antics Circus Workshops Aerial Class for adults
31 Oct. 2014 / Feel like trying something new? Want to challenge yourself in a fun circus environment? These classes will cover the basics of aerial acrobatics using a range of equipment including static trapeze, ropes and aerial silks helping you develop strength balance and grace in the air. Participants will have the chance to get to grips with climbing, hanging and basic aerial poses under the supervision of experienced aerial artists.
Daft Antics Circus Workshops Advanced Aerial Class
01 Nov. 2014 / An Aerial Circus class for those who have completed the basic course or for those with previous experience. These classes will cover some more advanced moves in aerial acrobatics including doubles work. The workshop will be using a range of equipment including static trapeze, ropes and aerial silks helping you develop strength balance and grace in the air. Participants will have the chance to get to grips with climbing, hanging and basic aerial poses under the supervision of experienced aerial artists.
