Last Night of the Proms Sligo Orpheus Choir

€15 / Sligo Orpheus Choir with the Sligo Chamber Orchestra is delighted to present The Last Night of the Proms . The Programme ranges from Puccini’s Nessun Dorma to Beethoven’s Ode to Joy with Bizet’s Habanera (Carmen) adding a touch of sunny Spain to the night and with the Oktoberfest fest is now a memory “Ein Prosit” will rekindle some recollections. Orchestral Gems range from the first movement of Mozart’s violin concerto in B flat with Isobel Fahy a young Sligo violinist to Elgar’s hauntingly beautiful Plaisir d’Amour all part of the magic of the Last Night of the Proms .
