Sligo Live Festival Club @ The Model
Sligo Live returns to the Model this year to repeat the exciting and immensely popular new Festival Club, with three amazing performance spaces occupying the full ground floor of the Model.
Each night while The Black Box rocks to the club headliners, The Acoustic Stage, will give a flavour of Sligo Live by hosting short sets from artists who have played other festival venues.
The Session Room will welcome musicians and festival-goers whose interests are more traditional. While moving from stage to stage sampling the variety of sounds on offer, clubbers can enjoy the craic and Slice Café’s tasty hot food menu.

Wallis Bird’s performances can transition seamlessly from the defiant self-affirming anthems that can motivate thousands of festival-goers into a rousing sing-a-long, to the most hushed and fragile ballads that can captivate an audience into a spellbound silence.

Pokey LaFarge and the South City 3’s unique brand of American roots music and incendiary live performances have captured the hearts of audiences all over the globe. After appearing on Jools Holland and a sell-out UK and European tour, it quickly became apparent that these St Louis goodtime boys are on a one-way ticket to the mainstream.

Mánran are the hottest new band on the Scottish music scene. Combining driving accordion, fiddle, Highland pipes, Uilleann pipes and flute with powerful songs in English and Gaelic, all underpinned by rocking drums and bass, Mànran are the fresh, unstoppable sound of modern Gaelic Scotland.
The final night of the club hosts the World Air Fiddle Championships and also celebrates the ancient ‘Oíche Shamhna’ with a Halloween fancy dress competition.
