Sun. 29 Nov., 5pm.
We are delighted to host a talk with internationally renowned artist Katsutoshi Yuasa. Based in Tokyo, Katsu makes woodcut prints from his own digital photographs.
By combining two processes – the camera’s ‘snapshot’ and the woodcut’s lengthy reinterpretation of the same image – he attempts to crystallise the atmospheric and emotional character of his subjects.
