The Model is delighted to announce an exciting series of Late Night gigs supported by the Arts Council. The series kicks off on Saturday 16 December and runs right throughout 2024.
Up first are local legends Tara McGowan (Tara B) and John Graham (John G), who together form the electronic dance music DJ collective Toast. Toast presents a series of pop-up electronic music nights in Sligo, celebrating a wide range of contemporary and off kilter electronic music including techno, house, hard groove, bass, breakbeat and more. Each slice of Toast is unique and we’re excited to host it at The Model this December.
This very special launch night will feature special guest Eliza. Eliza is a resident of Dublin Digital Radio, Gash Collective and electronic collective Lepton. She has played out across Ireland supporting the likes of Radioactive Man, Elena Columbi, Bill Converse, SPFDJ as well as a set at Corsica Studios in London last year. She regularly plays alongside Gash founders ELLL & Lolz and Lepton founder Ngoni Egan. She has been billed at multiple Irish festivals including Body and Soul, Electric Picnic and Open Ear.
Tara B will play a range of progressive techno, techno, deep house and tech house; John G will serve up a heavy hotchpotch of driving techno, bass & what ever grabs his short attention span.
We welcome DJ’s Misha & Kaya Sky and are delighted to announce that visuals will be provided by Sligo based Film Maker Peter Martin.
