Young Model is an initiative that connects young people who share a passion for Art and ideas. They experiment and create through a range of art mediums - from visual art, installation, film and performance to mixed media and collaboration.
Young Model have been invited to work from an open studio in the gallery this autumn, where they will share thoughts, ideas and their artistic processes with the public. This is an experimental space, that supports Young Model’s unique voice, enabling their creative expression to unfold, at their own pace.
An exciting team of artists led by artist Bryan Gerard Duffy, with Nollaig Molloy and Christine Prescott will facilitate the programme this autumn, offering opportunities for young people to engage with contemporary art, working artists and what it’s like to work the museum space.
About the Artists
Bryan Gerard Duffy
Bryan is a multi-disciplinary artist, works in paint, sculpture, lens-based work, moving image and installation. He draws line and also crosses lines, both physically and metaphysically while investigating psychological and physical displacement.
Nollaig Molloy
Nollaig works with moving image, sculptural installation, sound, facilitating workshop and event-based outcomes, to investigate landscape through ‘materials-to-hand’.
Christine Prescott
Christine approaches Art as a ritual and recipe, using fragile organic materials and delicate repetitive processes, to create an ecological whole, that is both personal and universal.
