In this new body of work, Emma Stroude explores themes of uncertainty, instability and the ability to recognise innocent and well intentioned actions, in contrast to threat. Layers of suggestion and open-ended questions may be interpreted differently by the viewer depending on their personal history and the influence of the collective. The possibility of instability is balanced with the prospect of fun, performance and spectacle.
