Jack Butler Yeats; Assembled Memories

We are delighted to present a selection of works by Jack Butler Yeats from one of the most exciting holdings of his paintings in existence. Sligo’s Municipal Collection, named after the visionary Nora Niland, includes some of the finest work by Yeats across every phase of his long creative practice. This exhibition focuses on the artist’s work in oils, from politically themed paintings of the 1920s to his late great visionary masterworks of the 1940s & 50s.

Each year, The Model casts new light on the long career of Jack Butler Yeats, and activates The Niland Collection through new visual art, music and performance commissions, as well as through specially curated programmes for children in schools, and events for people of all ages.
