The Model’s Craic in the Box, which is being run by MC John Colleary while we’re closed, is taking part in Cairde with a gig on Saturday 11th July. A great Festival needs a great line-up so John has invited back two of Craic’s favourites: Jarlath Regan (The Panel, RTE) and Andrew Stanley (I Dare Ya! RTE).
Having performed worldwide at the Montreal, Adelaide, Melbourne and Edinburgh Comedy Festivals and becoming a regular fixture at the Kilkenny Cat Laughs Festival, Andrew Stanley is one of the top comics working the Irish Circuit today. Whether it’s performing as Resident MC in numerous clubs around the country, one of which is the legendary Comedy Cellar in Dublin, or as a quality act in his own right Andrew is always high energy and quick witted keeping every audience thoroughly entertained.
Jarlath Regan is the new face of RTE’s most popular comedy show “The Panel” and the fastest rising star of Irish comedy. Within two years of quiting his day job Regan’s original brand of observational humour and twisted greeting cards have made him a firm favourite among comedy anoraks.
John Colleary will be no stranger to Sligo audiences than he normally is! A compre of unrivalled panache and wit, he has been known to tell the occasional funny story and will be on hand to ensure your comfort and enjoyment on the night.
Tickets are still just €10 and can be purchased in advance from Cairde by calling: 071 – 917 0431, or you can take your chance on the door from 9.30pm. Gig stars at 10pm and goes till late with a full bar- upstairs in McGarrigles.
