The Model is delighted to be participating in the second Culture Night Sligo . The newly reopened Model will open its doors on the night with a wonderful line up of exhibitions, music, film screenings and open studios.
You can see watercolours by Ireland’s most famous painter, Jack B. Yeats, in the exhibition The Living Ginger; the DeLorean story in the film Make It New John; and working artists in their magnificent new Studios not to mention Young Model filming it all.
Culture Night Events
Exhibition: Jack B. Yeats: The Living Ginger
Seamus Nolan’s Model-commissioned project, The Trades Club Revival will be open on Culture Night as a cafe where people can watch footage of how the Revival Project has unfolded to date.
Artist Studios:
A rare opportunity to visit the studio floor to see the artists at work and catch stunning views of Sligo.
Film: Make It New John
Director: Duncan Campbell, 50mins. Screenings at 6:30 and 8pm
Young Model Off-site:
Projects include their filming of Culture Night, including reactions from the public, artists and organisations involved, and a performance with the New Media Youth Orchestra in participation with ‘Stratusloop
Arts & Community Screenings:
The Model will participate in screenings, on and off-site, of their arts and health projects.
All events run from 6 to 10pm unless otherwise stated.
