This Friday at the Model we are delighted to present rhizome[s], a tour of like-minded alternative music innovators. Dublin post new wave two-piece Thread Pulls are joined by Danish collective Thulebasen and the much-acclaimed Patrick Kelleher.

Some might remember Thread Pulls previous sold-out performance with RSAG at The Model::Satellite in 2008. Threadpull’s much anticipated debut album New Thoughts last week received a four-star review from the Irish Times. With Patrick Freyne of Hotpress calling them ‘the reformed, rationalised, efficient rock-making machine of the future.’

Also joining the triple-bill is a favourite Model performer, Patrick Kelleher who played to a packed house as part of Donal Dineen’s Fresh Air during the Model’s opening weekend earlier this year.

Over the last two years, all of the artists involved in this tour have been forming rhizomatic connections resulting in collaborations, remixes, one-off events and so on. This tour brings these three acclaimed bands together for one tour with collaboration at the heart of it. With work shared in advance of the concerts, each act will present their own sets yet each performance will also feature collaborations between the artists developed for the tour.
