Artist Dean Baldwin serves up coffee at the ‘Yukon City Sweet Gold Drinkery’ this week.
On Friday, The Model Satellite hosted the party of all parties to celebrate Culture Night Sligo and the opening of Reverse Pedagogy. Following on from the opening, Canadian artist Dean Baldwin and his social sculpture ‘The Yukon City Sweet Gold Drinkery’ will remain open this week in Sligo. Throughout the residency of Reverse Pedagogy, the Drinkery evolved from a kettle on a small fridge to function as the ‘headquarters’ for the artists -part wild west canteen, part tool shed it became their kitchen and their water cooler, the central location to cross paths and ideas each day of the residency.
COFFEE
This week Baldwin is inviting locals to join him for a cup of coffee and a natter at The Model Satellite, Castle Street. Drop in for an afternoon espresso for that much needed afternoon boost from 2pm.
SLIGO RACES
On Wednesday and Thursday this week Baldwin will also be serving local race goers at The Drinkery for a pre race refresher and ‘hot tips’ exchange from 2pm on Castle Street.
