Today Assistant Education Curator Linda Hayden rounds up the news and events from the young model team who have been otherwise involved and too busy to blog for us this week as you’ll see below!

During the week young model was out and about again but this time they weren’t interviewing some of the more well known artists in our lands. Young model were helping out with preparations for Gracelands an outdoor art programme happening on Saturday 26th September, Mimetic House, Dromahair Co. Leitrim.

Last week young model were strimming the grass on the path leading down to the central platforms and earlier this week they started to cover the path with wood chips and unravelled about 100metres of electrical cable for the lights leading down the path. We also got nibbled on by a lot of hungry midges, we have the scares to prove it : <

‘It’s off to work we go’

Vaari Claffey curator of Gracelands has invited young model to take part in The Wacky Choir which will happen on the day, not sure what’s involved yet but I love surprises. Young model will also be interviewing a number of the artists exhibiting at Gracelands this year including Mark Garry, Sam Keogh and Bea McMahon to mention but a few. These interviews will be posted on The Model’s web site in the next month.
